On 20th February 2026, Mission Pediatrics took another bold step in advancing community health education by hosting an impactful Epilepsy Awareness Session at Shiayennoh Basic School as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Shiayennoh.

Held in line with Epilepsy Awareness Month, the session was designed to educate students and teachers on epilepsy, dispel harmful myths, and promote a culture of empathy and inclusion within the school environment. Shiayennoh .

Epilepsy remains one of the most common neurological conditions worldwide, yet it is often misunderstood. This gap in knowledge can lead to fear, stigma, and unsafe responses during seizures. Mission Pediatrics’ outreach sought to replace uncertainty with understanding and empower the school community with practical, life-saving knowledge.

Key Focus Areas of the Session

The interactive session was carefully structured to suit different age groups and covered the following core areas:

  • First Aid for Seizures: Practical, step-by-step guidance on what to do—and what not to do—during a seizure.
  • Dispelling Myths: Addressing common misconceptions surrounding epilepsy.
  • Empathy and Inclusion: Encouraging acceptance and support for students living with the condition. Shiayennoh.

Through engaging discussions and demonstrations, participants gained confidence in responding appropriately to seizures and supporting peers with compassion.
