Mission Pediatrics Launches Parent-Mediated Therapy Training Programme
Mission Pediatrics has commenced a new Parent-Mediated Therapy Training Programme, designed to empower parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children with practical skills to support their children’s development at home and beyond.
The programme officially began with an introductory session on Thursday, 10 September, 2026 bringing together some parents of clients of Mission Pediatrics. The session provided an opportunity for parents to learn about the programme, understand its objectives, and explore how they can become more confident and active partners in their children’s developmental journey.
The training would focus on four key areas such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, and Special Education. Through a progressive three-level learning model, parents will first build foundational knowledge, then choose areas relevant to their child’s needs before progressing to more specialised training.
The initiative reflects Mission Pediatrics’ commitment to complementing professional therapy by equipping families with strategies they can apply consistently in everyday life. Rather than replacing therapists, the programme seeks to strengthen the partnership between parents, therapists and educators, helping children receive meaningful support across settings.
As the programme continues, participating parents will gain practical tools, greater understanding of their children’s needs, and increased confidence in supporting development at home.
At Mission Pediatrics, the belief is simple: when parents learn, children benefit.
